Challenge
An amusement park was looking for a new form of interaction that would engage visitors both physically and emotionally. Traditional attractions were losing appeal, especially among younger guests who are used to more dynamic and digital experiences.
Goal
To create a motion-based interactive VR game accessible to various age groups and capable of attracting guests not only in summer but also during the off-season.
Story
The project team began with conceptual workshops, defining the target audience and the emotional impact the game should deliver — excitement, a sense of agency, and deep engagement.
Based on these insights, a VR game was designed where players defend Earth from alien invaders by performing physical movements tracked by an AI-powered motion capture camera.
Instead of using handheld controllers, the system analyzed full-body positioning and gestures, replicating them on-screen in real time. This made the experience more accessible (including for children and seniors) and more natural and immersive.
An MVP version was launched as a single station, and after receiving positive feedback, additional units were deployed throughout the park. These were enhanced with competitive features such as leaderboards and gamification mechanics.
Integration with a loyalty platform allowed visitors to collect points and exchange them for prizes or discounts.
Results (KPIs)
Thanks to the implementation, the amusement park:
✅ Increased average time spent in the VR zone by 38%
✅ Noted a 22% rise in off-season visits
✅ Achieved an average rating of 4.6/5 for the attraction
✅ Reduced time-to-launch to 8 weeks using prebuilt Unity + AI components
